Job Responsibilities

Job Overview:

 

The Area Manager leads territory operations, drives agri-input sales, ensures effective farmer and retail outreach, executes lifting plans, and supervises team performance to achieve growth targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Territory Office to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan for optimum Retail & Farmer’s extension and effective coverage. Actively participate in route planning within the territory.
  • Follow up on the lifting plan of IFC’s (iFarmer Center) & Farmer’s. Prepare and implement retail and wholesale-specific execution plans.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share in the designated area.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the agri input sector within the assigned area.
  • Audit the activities and performance of the sales team under his supervision.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in agri-input (seeds, pecticide, etc.) sales, distribution, or territory management.
  • Strong understanding of rural markets and farmer behavior.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to plan and execute territory-specific sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
