Job Description

The Human Resources Manager guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services within iFarmer, ensuring compliance with local labor law and iFarmer`s culture and policies. S/he will be responsible for effective coordination of human resources in a fast-growing start-up environment. This position will provide both strategic and tactical HR support to iFarmer. Key areas of focus for this role include HR strategy, compensation & benefits, talent acquisition, retention and management, culture and employee engagement, policy and processes. The Human Resources Manager is expected to provide guidance and thought partnership to the senior-level management.

Key Responsibilities


  • Create and execute core HR processes, including performance management and coaching, succession planning, talent acquisition, change management, and culture
  • Support organizational design efforts attending to both present and future business aspirations
  • Design industry-appropriate compensation plans for iFarmer and develop a compensation & benefits strategy to support the business growth
  • Work with Senior leaders and use data to identify skill and capability gaps, key talent, retention risks, and engagement opportunities
  • Assist and wherever appropriate take lead in the development and execution of targeted interventions related to organizational performance, learning, leadership, employee development, and high performing teams.
  • Create, execute and measure employee experience across all the departments in the company
  • Identify opportunities and implement processes to automate HR processes
  • Prior experience of establishing and managing HR in a startup environment
  • MBA or master’s degree with a concentration in HR or a related field
  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of employment /labor laws
  • Ability to influence, persuade and comfortable having difficult conversations
  • Curious – always questioning, always probing, and never blindly accepting.
  • Moral Imagination: The humility to see the world as it is, and the audacity to imagine the world as it could be.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Bangla and English
