Job Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Machinery Expert to contribute to the development of Agri-Machinery User Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Leaflets, and Booklets on the machinery. The project is focused on selected Light Engineering (LE) workshops in the Bogura region, requiring expertise in agri-machinery operation, maintenance, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering, with hands-on experience in the field of agri-machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manual and SOP Development: Develop comprehensive user manuals and SOPs for various agri-machines, ensuring content accuracy, clarity, and usability for diverse end-users.
  • Technical Documentation Creation: Prepare leaflets and booklets with essential information about agri-machinery for Light Engineering workshops, focusing on operation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Field Research and Analysis: Conduct field visits to LE workshops to gather information on machine specifications, common issues, and usage patterns to inform documentation.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with engineers, machine operators, and workshop personnel to ensure accuracy and relevance of developed materials.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and validate technical documentation to ensure it meets industry standards, is user-friendly, and adheres to regulatory guidelines.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide occasional training to LE workshop personnel on the use of agri-machinery documentation and SOPs.
  • Feedback Integration: Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders through validation workshop and users to improve the clarity and effectiveness of documentation.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in technical writing, agri-machinery operation, or industrial safety would be advantageous.

Skills and Expertise

  • Technical Knowledge:
    • In-depth knowledge of agri-machinery, including operation, maintenance, and safety.
    • Familiarity with various light engineering machinery used in agriculture.
  • Documentation Skills:
    • Proficiency in technical writing and document design for user manuals, SOPs, leaflets, and other instructional materials.
    • Experience with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, or other documentation tools.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Strong ability to communicate technical details clearly and concisely for users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including workshop staff, owner, engineers, and project officials.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis:
    • Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and develop actionable, easy-to-follow procedures.
    • Practical understanding of field conditions and constraints affecting agri-machinery usage.

 

 

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with agricultural machinery, including hands-on experience in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing technical manuals, SOPs, or other machinery-related documentation.
  • Previous experience with Light Engineering workshops or similar settings is preferred.
  • Experience in conducting training or instructional sessions related to machinery operation is a plus.
  • Working experience with machinery related development project

Additional Requirements

  • Availability for Field Visits: Willingness to travel to various Light Engineering workshops in Bogura as needed.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring all documents are error-free and easily understandable.
  • Deadline-Oriented: Ability to manage time effectively to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong command of English and Bengali, with clear technical writing skills in both languages.

  • BDT 10000 per day (10% tax will be deducted)
  • No other TA/DA will be provided

Type: Contractual, daily basis, project based

Duration: 60 days (Nov' 24-February 25, timesheet need to be submitted)
