Job Responsibilities

  • Market Penetration and Development:
    • Identify and develop new market opportunities for iFarmer's agri-input products within assigned territories.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the agricultural sector, including farmers, retailers, distributors, and agricultural organizations.
    • Collect and analyze market data, including crop patterns, pest and disease prevalence, and farmer preferences.
    • Identify key SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) to focus on based on market demand and profitability.
    • Provide valuable insights to the team to guide product development, marketing strategies, and sales efforts.
  • Product and Promotion:
    • Promote and develop farmer oriented climate smart agri-input products, highlighting their benefits and value proposition to potential customers.
    • Organize and conduct product demonstrations, field trials, and farmer training programs to showcase product effectiveness.
    • Generate lead, nurture and maintain long term sustainable relationships with location wise farmers
    • Assist Operations team to achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth for the Agri Input department

Requirements

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development preferably in the agri-input industry
  • Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Other: Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories. Valid driver's license and own motorbike
