Job Responsibilities

  • Overall management and coordination of iFarmer`s regional offices
  • Manage and coordinate iFarmer’s regional office; facilitate coordination and discussion between input, field operations and supply chain teams
  • Own and drive iFarmer’s financing/loan portfolio – grow the number of farmers applying for financial/support, ensure KYC, risk assessment and relevant information of farmer customers applying for loan/financial services, monitor the farmers and ensure recovery
  • Check & verify the accuracy of the loan applicants and project details to the point as per loan requisition
  • Timely credit recovery from field through MF’s and Sub-MF and prepare collection report
  • Support partner financial institutions to disburse and recover loans from the farmers.
  • Manage, monitor and where possible resolve customer (farmer) issues with regards to financial services and services from the iFarmer Centers
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams in planning and management of product sourcing, financial transactions for iFarmer Limited with regards to buying and selling of agricultural products from the region
  • Coordinate with Agri Input team to ensure smooth supply of agriculture inputs to the iFarmer Centers
  • Coordinates with finance team to ensure all financial processes, due diligence of the regional offices are compliant with the financial policy of iFarmer
  • Support and coordinate with regional legal and external affairs (Lawyer) to recover loans
  • Supervision and manage the performance of the iFarmer Centers in the region
  • Ensure that the iFarmer Centers are running smoothly and being able to offer the required services to the farmers
  • Prepare weekly/biweekly/monthly report of activities and progress of field activities
  • Plan, Update and monitor of daily field activity by the field facilitators
  • Set, Manage, and monitor the performance metrics and KPIs of Field Facilitators
  • Create and maintain accounting ledger of every field facilitator and the iFarmer Centers
  • Ensure timely recovery and revenue generation from the iFarmer Centers
  • From time to time visit the iFarmer Centers in different districts under the region
  • Loan disburses and collection report analysis, compile and follow-up
  • Manage local stakeholders such as govt offices, DAE, DLO and DOF offices, Banks and Insurance companies to ensure they are aware of iFarmer services and where necessary get support from these offices for iFarmer operations
  • Coordinates with Dhaka office finance team to ensure all financial processes, loan disburse and collection status update etc.
  • Provide Training to field staffs regarding norms, values, product of iFarmer to run the field activities smoothly
  • Daily, weekly and monthly accounts related report preparation and checking
  • Provide logistics support to field team
  • Regular and systematic credits follow up
  • Help senior management in facing the internal and external audit teams and serve them with all required data and documents

Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ proven experience of working in and managing field operations for Microfinance organizations, Agriculture input companies and Financial Institutions
  • Master’s degree in relevant subject is a must.
  • Knowledge of farmer financing, credit recovery and agriculture product trading will be preferred
  • Experience in managing govt stakeholders and other Division and District level stakeholders is highly desirable 
  • Ability to establish operational systems and processes to meet deliverables
  • Excellent Communications in Bangla and working level communication in English, with the ability to develop presentations and reports from the field office.
  • Skill required: Analytical ability, staff handling, Strong in MS Office (MS Word MS Excel and PowerPoint), ERP Software.
  • Frequently field visit.
